Error 6629

  • Short Text: Invalid Parent Placed Private status for DOC or DHS.

  • Long Text: Invalid Parent Placed Private status for DOC or DHS. Department of Health Services and Department of Corrections may not submit an sSEPA with PPP set to Yes.

  • Business Rules:

    • Calculation--sSEPA submitted by DOC/DHS (Edorgid on SSEPA is DOC/DHS) Where PPP = Y

  • How to Fix: You are likely receiving this error because you submitted a student attending a school within DOC or DHS as parentally-placed private (PPP). Students in DOC or DHS cannot be submitted as PPP. Modify the student’s record to reflect a value of ‘No’ for PPP status to clear the error.

  • Example: District Deb receives an error that Pierre has an invalid Parent Placed Private status. Deb looks into the situation and finds that Pierre is attending school within the Department of Corrections and also has a disability for which he’s receiving special education services. However, DOC should not be the one submitting a status of PPP for students in the DOC school. Deb modifies the PPP status to a value of ‘No’ to clear the error.
