Warning 6614

  • Short Text: Student is enrolled, but Special Education Program Association appears to be missing.

  • Long Text: Student is enrolled, but Special Education Program Association appears to be missing. An active IEP/ISP has been reported by another district, but not by your district. If the student has returned to regular education, then acknowledge this warning and contact the other district to end date their student to Special Education Program Association. If the student is receiving Special Education services, then submit a Student Special Education Program Association for the student.

  • Business Rule Impact:

  • Calculation--/student exists/sSA exists for the school year /sSEPA (associated with the sSA) is missing from this district but /sSEPA has been submitted for this student by another district with IEPBeginDate and IEPEndDate covering the term of this enrollment (this is always the current school year)

  • How to Fix: Check to see if the student in question is currently receiving Special Education services. If the student previously received services in another district but is now part of regular education, acknowledge the warning and contact the student’s prior district to enter an end date for the student’s services. If the student is still currently receiving services, you will need to submit a Student Special Education Program Association for the student in your district.

  • Example: Aaron moved on to Hot Fudge Middle School from Ice Cream Elementary, where he used to receive Special Education services. When he switched schools, he and his parents determined he no longer needed the services. District Deb sees Aaron's record has a warning that even though he isn't currently receiving services, his record has a warning that his sSEPA information is missing. Deb verifies that he is no longer receiving services and then contacts Ice Cream to have them put an end date in Aaron's records for when he stopped receiving services there. Then she acknowledges the warning.
