Error 6623

  • Short Text: Required field is missing, 'IDEA Eligible'.

  • Long Text: Required field is missing, 'IDEA Eligible'. IDEA eligibility must be provided for every sSEPA.

  • Business Rule Impact:

    • Calculation-- IDEAEligible field on SSEPA is NULL

  • How to Fix:

    • Check to see if the student is IDEA eligible by looking at the following parameters:

    • An "IDEA-Eligible" student must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Be a child age 3-21 years of age who has not graduated with a diploma from high school,

  • Be a child with an impairment(s), who because of that impairment(s) needs Special Education and related services as determined by a current evaluation and a current individualized education program (IEP) or a services plan for Parentally-Placed Private school children,

  • The student is attending and receiving all of the services specified in the IEP/service plan, and

  • The student is receiving a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) or is a Parentally-Placed Private school student receiving Special Education or related services that meet state standards under a service plan.

  • If the student meets the requirements for IDEA eligibility, then mark the student’s record with a true/yes value for the IDEA Eligible field in your SIS to correct the error.

  • Example: Darnell’s record is showing an error that he’s missing a value for the IDEA Eligible field. District Deb looks into the matter and sees the field is empty in her SIS. She contacts Darnell’s teacher and Special Education services team to verify that he is of school age, has an impairment, has a current service plan, and is receiving services from a FAPE school or is PPP. She notes Darnell is IDEA Eligible and so marks the IDEA Eligible field in his record in the SIS accordingly.
